Yes, that is legal. It would also be legal for them to send you home early.

If an employer doesn't want to pay OT is it legal for them to force a long break in the middle of the day. For instance you have a shift from 8-8 but they realize that after 9 hours you'll be on overtime. So they tell you that you need to take a lunch from 2-5 then come back for 3 hours.Tags: None
