    Not really my area of expertise, but I would probably be leaning towards a different exception. I can say that there is no golf course exceptoin per se. You need to take a hard look at the actual job duties. Then review both of the following exceptions and see if the situation applies.

    I will let one of the payroll people address the overtime issue.

    There are no laws prohibiting verbal beratings or job threatenings.

    My husband works at a golf course and was told that he does not get overtime after 40 hours because it is classified as agricultural. I read the agricultural law and it does not seem to apply. Can you tell me if it is legal to not pay someone overtime after 40 hours in this type of environment. Also is there a place that I can go to look at the laws around work place treatment such as being verbally berated and threatened with your job without prior warnings?
