  • Question Massachusetts

I have been employed with a company for 9 years.. excellent reviews...

11 month's ago, I was asked to stay overtime and later that week was told not to put it on my timecard by the manager. I complained to HR in writing about this and got a letter back from HR that I would be paid and was.

Ever since, I am getting written up for thing I didn't do and they have no proof. I just gow written up again for the third time. This is causing me
tremendous stress and affecting my health.

If I quit and show unemployment the letter I sent to HR about asserting my rights and show them the letter HR sent me back and proved I quit because of retaliation will I be able to collect? Is there anyone from Unemployment that could answer this for me or help me..

    thanks you.

I think that you will have a very hard time convincing the DUA that the sole reason you are being written up is that you wrote a letter to HR almost a year ago, even if you were right at the time, and that this is a valid reason for you to quit and get benefits.
The above answer, whatever it is, assumes that no legally binding and enforceable contract or CBA says otherwise. If it does, then the terms of the contract or CBA apply.
