  • Can an employer terminated someone for wearing the cloths they ant Georgia Georgia

We work in medical office they just to supply our uniforms.
Not anymore since 3 years ago so we went a bought our own.
Now our administrator just made a new policy in the office because she does not like printed scrubs. She would not let anybody wear then. So she made this new policy in our clinic and if we don't wear solid colors she would terminated us from the office we have to sign this new policy. She just made up on April 24th and it would be effective on April 30th first time we get a warning second we get send home without pay and third a termination.
And she said that she did not care how much money we spend in our uniforms but if we want to be in the office we must wear what she likes.
Please hepl us to take a diccision.

Scrubs are not cheap. And she said if we can not buy then we can wear the one's she has in the office that other people have wear before and they have stains and big sizes.

This is not an area regulated by law.

If the employer wants everyone to wear pink scrubs and nothing but pink scrubs, the employer can do that.

In the medical field, with demand for folks high, setting stupid rules is a good way to lose valuable employees.

But, you also said that, up until 3 years ago. they were supplying the uniforms. Did you ask if they will again begin to supply them?

It seems like a "silly" rule especially since you apparently have been wearing printed scrubs all along but you have to do what your administrator tells you to.
Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. Leo Buscaglia
