  • written warning time frame Florida

is there a law requiring an employer to present a written warning to an employee within a given amount of time. On 8/22/09 I was presented with 7 written warnings dating back to 7/23/09.

No, there is no such law.
The above answer, whatever it is, assumes that no legally binding and enforceable contract or CBA says otherwise. If it does, then the terms of the contract or CBA apply.

Agreed. In fact, there is no general law saying that warnings must be given at all or be put in writing or in any particular format. I can think of any number of good reasons why warnings should be given, timely and in writing, but that is different then saying that this is a legal requirement. Different companies legally can and generally do have very different handlings in this area. I would say that in my experience, the bigger the company, the more formal they tend to be in such areas.

I have an article I am going to reference that you probably will not like but is still worth reading.
