  • Cutting pay Florida

Hello, My wife works for a call center and has for 6 years. Recently this company has begun a "work from home" program. New hires are getting $9.00 per hour to start at home and $10.00 per hour to start in the office while they are expecting current employees, regardless of their seniority, to take a $2.00 an hour pay cut to participate in this program. They will be doing the same exact job as they did in the office. It was originally a $1.00 an hour pay cut, now this company has changed their policy to $2.00 an hour cut. Is this legal and if so, how can they justify their actions?

Yes, perfectly legal as long as she is paid at least the min. wage. They aren't required to justify their action.
Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. Leo Buscaglia
