    If he has not received his pay as due, he can file a claim with the ICA (state Dept. of Labor) or federal DOL, or file a civil suit.

    Relative to the $2,000, sounds like he was extorted to forego a police report? I'd recommend seeing an attorney.

    They made him sign the waiver to take the test by threating to call the cops. Then they didnt give him his final two pay checks and tried to make him pay back $2000 on top of that based off a guess of what he would owe them if he did steal. Is that ok to do?

    The state of Az. has no restrictions on the use of polygraph tests. However, the co-worker should do as the other posters suggested & contact an attorney since he might be protected under another law such as federal.

    It MIGHT violate the Polygraph Protection Act, which is Federal, but there are not enough details in your post to say for certain. Your co-worker should consult with an employment attorney.

    Lie Detector test lawfull??

    Today a co-worker was fired for theft after he failed a lie detector test. A little backround, we work in a soda manufactering plant, no one witnessed the theft and the lie-detector was given then he was terminated. Is this ok?
