    can a supervisor (in the state of ma) just stop giving you a check when you have worked for six weeks and then tell you that the reason is he overpaid you for the last year. never notified ahead of time by letter or phone call?

    No, he can't.

    You MUST be paid at least the state minimum wage times hours worked under both state and Federal law.

    You can file a complaint with the state DOL if this is not occurring.
