  • Harrassment?

    I have recently had a performance review with my supervisor. The written review was ok (indicated areas for improvement, etc.) however when we met to discuss this review, he indicated that he thought a disservice had been done to me by hiring me into the position I currently hold. I have been in this position for the last 5 years with positive performance appraisals. He then proceeded to ask me what I had to offer my employees. It was clear in his verbal communication that he does not think I should be in this position. The more I think about it, the more I feel like this is harrassment or bullying. Is it? Do I have any recourse?

    Here is some more information. I am in Vermont. I have recently returned from maternity leave, I announced my pregnancy only 2 weeks after he started.

    Any information would be useful. Thanks.

    New Managers

    It is legally justifiable if a new manager decides that he/she doesn't care for that person and would rather not see him/her in the department as long as the reason is not due to illegal factors such as age, religion, gender, disaibliy, national origin, race, etc.
