  • NY Wage Question

I'm employed in New York State as a Feild Tech/Installer, (non-exempt) if my employer requires me to carry a pager to support an after hours "on call" service to our customers am I entitled to receive addtional compensation for this. I'm required to do this every 4 weeks and am paid nothing.

Additionally, if I'am called in after hours is the employer only required to pay me my hourly rate?

    Thank You

If you use the search feature on this board for "on call" you will find numerous posts regarding the criteria for on-call time being compensable.
I don't respond to Private Messages unless the moderator specifically refers you to me for that purpose. Thank you.
