  • Meal Requirements in Alabama

I have a question regarding my current job. I work at a doctors clinic during 2nd shift, and we never get a lunch. Our shift begins at 2:00 PM, and we get off every night around 11:30 PM. We never get breaks or lunches, due to the fact that the doctor doesn't want his patients to have to wait. Is there some kind of law in Alabama requiring breaks and lunches after working a certain number of hours?

No, neither Federal nor Alabama law requires that you receive any kind of meal period or breaks.
The above answer, whatever it is, assumes that no legally binding and enforceable contract or CBA says otherwise. If it does, then the terms of the contract or CBA apply.
