  • My employer always pays me late (Florida)

3-14 days. She has yet to pay me on time and doesn't seem to care. I went on a two week vacation once and she couldn't sit down and fill out my check before I left. By then she was already a week late in paying me. Is she breaking the law? The business is in Jacksonville, FL.

Unfortunately, Florida has no general provision requiring payment within a certain number of days following the end of the pay period, or the frequency with which employees must be paid. You can try calling the Dept. of Workforce Innovation to see what they recommend.
