  • How many hours are too many?

As a salaried employee in the State of Arizona. How many hours are too many to be required to work in a 40 hour work week?

Whether salaried or hourly, exempt or nonexempt, there is no law in Arizona which limits the hours the employer can require you to work. The only difference is that, if you are nonexempt, you must be paid overtime when you work over 40 in a workweek; if you are exempt, you are not legally entitled to any extra compensation no matter how many hours you work.
