    Yes, it is. No law requires an employer to provide holidays, paid or unpaid; no law prohibits an employer from changing their benefit schedule.

    If you are receiving holiday pay even though you are not getting a holiday off, you are still receiving more than the law requires.

    Nerw Years Holiday

    For the past seven years if New Years fell on a weekend we would get the Monday off. This year; just yesterday I was told that we would NOT be getting Monday off for the holiday, but instead we would have to work Monday and get the holiday pay along with a regular days worth of pay. Is that legal?
