I work through a temp agency. Ive been working through this agency for a company for six months. last month the company hired enough new employees to create a third shift, and hired all temps who had worked for more than one month and passed a background check except me. this weekend today, I have been informed the company is working this saturday (previously, we were told we would not be working). My question is this.

Every employee of the company who works the day before and after the holiday will be paid for thanksgiving and friday, Will the agency pay for those days as well? or, alternatively, do I have a case for them delaying my hiring until after the holidays to avoid payment of holidays?

Every employee of the company who works the day before and after the holiday will be paid for thanksgiving and friday, Will the agency pay for those days as well? How would anyone here know if the staffing agency you work for offers any paid holidays? The client company's holiday practices have nothing to do with the company you work for.

or, alternatively, do I have a case for them delaying my hiring until after the holidays to avoid payment of holidays? No. They don't ever have to hire you if they don't wish to.
