  • Is it legal for a manager to tape record in the office without consent or notice?

Is it legal for a manager to tape record the office, essentially tape recording her suborinates without their consent OR knowledge?

I am a contractor in this company, and so is my manager. We share an office together, and there are four of us in the room. The tape recorder was in her bag, with the zipper open (the recorder was concealed).

Is my manager allowed to bug the room? I am in the state of Florida.

    Thanks.
