are there any unfair practice laws in az

There's lots of unfair practices. Doesn't make them illegal, necessarily.

Do you have a specific question about employment law?

The phrase "unfair practices" or "fair dealing" generally refer to consumer transactions.

OK, this helps a little, but not enough. What happened? Sent home early? Why? Were others sent home also? Did some stay? Was there work for you to do? Need more details.

being first person sent home based on your job not your wage or experience There's nothing illegal about that. If employees were being sent home due to lack of work (for example), that decision is often made based on the specific jobs where no work is available at the moment. An employer doesn't have to take an employee's wage or experience into account if they don't wish to.
