  • Maryland: 5 hours without 5 minute break

My wife is working 5 hours straight and her manager doesn't allow her to take 5 minute break. She is 5 months old pregnant and she needs some little break to eat something for baby.

I went throught all th MD labor laws, I did not see anything, anyone outthere can help me for this. I think her manager violated the laws but I need something in white paper and black ink before I start to talk to the manager.

If anyone knows anything, please help me

    Thanks a lot

Unfortunately, there is no law in Maryland that requires rest breaks or meal periods for employees 18 years of age or older. It is indeed petty, IMHO, that management cannot give your wife 5 minutes to eat a little something, but there's no law that says they have to.
