  • FL-lunch breaks being taken from me

I was working for a small pharmacy in FL and was told by the owner that he was required to take our lunches out of our checks even if we didn't clock out to take a lunch. I always worked while eating so production didn't get backed up. I worked from 9-5 and was charged 30 minutes every day. Is this legal?

No. While Florida employers aren't required to offer any breaks at all, if they do an employee must be completely relieved of all job duties for the time to be upaid. You worked through your lunch breaks (while eating your lunch) therefore the time must be compensated.
