I currently live and work in Missouri. The question i have is, if an employer can fire someone for leaving work when they are scheduled to leave. For example I worked last night and was scheduled to get out at 9, unfortunately my manager forgot to schedule a closer and I had to stay until midnight, which caused all kinds of problems for me. So my question is, if I would have left at 9 when I was scheduled to leave could I have been fired for not staying when a manager asked me to?

    thanks
