  • Minimum Training pay?

    Ive recently started training at a waiting job in florida. now, i dont recieve tips for my training work, so what are they required to pay me? the $3.13 or is it $6.15 an hour? or is there a completly differnt "training pay"? or can they pay what they want for training?

    Training Rate

    Though employers can pay less than minimum wage to tipped employees, they still have an obligation to ensure that the employee is making a rate of minimum wage or higher.

    One other note...I don't know your age, but there is a reduction in minimum wage for those under 20 for the first 90 days of work. You can read about that at: http://www.dol.gov/elaws/faq/esa/flsa/003.htm
