  • newly hired and not scheduled to work during 2nd week of employment

what are the minimum/maximum hour that an employer in California are required to schedule a 15 1/2 year employee?please help. My daughter was hired 2 weeks ago and worked 20 hours the first week but is not scheduled to work at all this week. Is there some sort of minimum amount of hours an employer has to schedule or otherwise terminate the employee?

No, there is no such law or requirement.
The above answer, whatever it is, assumes that no legally binding and enforceable contract or CBA says otherwise. If it does, then the terms of the contract or CBA apply.
