  • SCA Wage Determinations

We're working on a federal contract in Wisconsin. Although our hourly employees are paid wages and fringe according to the service contract act wage determination for our county, some employees travel frequently to other states in the midwest to perform work on the same federal contract. Does the SCA require these employees to be paid at the normally higher wage determination rates in effect in the city, county, state where they actually are working.

    Thanks,
    Marc

    Federal Contract

The employees should be paid under the federal contract under which the contract was awarded. I would check with your contracting officer for confirmation. Then, if he/she gives you information that is later found to be inaccurate, you may have a basis upon which to defend yourself. (Get it in writing, if you can.)
