  • CA meal and/or rest breaks

What are the correct meal and/or rest breaks for CA employees? If you work less than 4hrs do you still get a break? I think it's 10min. break for every 4hrs. worked, is this correct? After 6hrs. is it a 30min. break, which you do not get paid for? What about choosing to waive meal periods? What are the laws on that? Please help me out! Is there maybe a site on-line that has a break down of all the CA labor laws?

    Here is an FAQ: http://www.dir.ca.gov/dlse/FAQ_Overtime.htm

And here all the laws in all their full and legal glory:
    http://www.leginfo.ca.gov/cgi-bin/ca...ebody=&hits=20

The FAQ answers are pretty clear and refer you to the specific code section in the law.
I don't respond to Private Messages unless the moderator specifically refers you to me for that purpose. Thank you.
