  • Use slander, libel laws? Texas?

Has anyone here used slander or libel laws in open court to fight malicious and false employment records or complaints, instead of going through labor agencies?

    Libel, etc.

That would be the only way to pursue a claim. While I don't have the experience, I do know that you are discussing a possibly expensive proposition. Have you talked with a local attorney? Most will provide a free initial consultation. I have found that they will give you an idea of the costs and the probability of winning such a claim.

Thank you. It would be nice to know of others' experience. Is there a way to find case history on this?

        Slander and Libel

The best free way is to research it through the Internet. Be careful, however, as you may well know, there is a lot of bad information out there.
