  • Reduction in Force Question

In CA. Can an employer eliminate a position due to Reduction in Force and then IMMEDIATELY hire a contractor for the same job?
    Is this legal?

    Reduction in Force

Yes, it is legal, as long as the reason for the replacement is not based on a reason such as illegal discrimination.
