  • Relocation assistance and voluntary termination

I signed a relocation aggreement that has a 1 year employment attached to it. It has been 10 months and for personal and professional reasons I wish to resign. I beleive that I can negotiate something positive with my company and they won't ask for the relo back. If this is not the case, I was wondering 1) how they intend to collect the amount, 2) what are my rights if any, 3) is there any precedent in favor of emplyee or employer.

    State of Arizona

    Thanks

Your employer can pursue you for the money to the full extent possible and that is not restricted by the agreement with the employer. The employer may try to go after you as with any company owing it money.
