California Employee Privacy Laws

Employer is installing video cams w/audio recorders in restaurant in both public and employee areas. What are the employer's legal rights as far as recording; both customers and employees? What are the employee's and customers privacy rights? I've searched, but can not find the state laws that address this. Can someone direct me to the state laws, so the employer can be advised before mistakes are made. Thank You

I don't know what the law is in california, but I know where you can go to find out. Equal Rights Advocates has a web site, and a hot-line to get legal advice. I can't remember the web address but run a search engine and you should find it.
