  • mandatory lunch food provided

I am a professional salary employee. My employer has recently shcheduled mandatory lunch meetings where lunch is provided to discuss company policy. Is this legal? I prefer to take a break away from the workplace.

Yes, as an exempt employee you can be required to attend meetings during lunch breaks.

Non-exempt employee's can be required as well in most states, but have to be paid for it.
