  • Not being paid for Overtime

    Considerations:
A Company Manual of Policies and Procedures dictates that you are paid for overtime in excess of 15 minutes.

    Question:
Can a Department Head supercede that by refusing to approve overtime for under an hour?

The rationalization of this "newly adopted policy" is that it is unprofessional to demand payment of your time for anything under an extra hour of work.

    Thanks! -Kimberly
