I was fired yesterday after working at a company for 2+ years and receiving a performance award in January 2005. They said that the Culture of the company was not going in the same direction as I am. When I asked for an example he did not have one. Can I request my employer to give me a copy of everything that is in my HR file?

Sorry...not the answer you want
There is no statute in Texas mandating that private sector employers give employees access to their personnel files. Given that, employers can basically do as they please. To find out more information, your best bet would be to check with the Texas Department of Labor.
As for now, file for unemployment and look for a job that's going in the same direction as you.
Good Luck!
