  • Limits on hours Virginia

I know there is no limit on consecutive days or hours worked in VA as long as an employee is compensated, but is there a required period of "down time" between shifts when driving is required? Not a truck driver, but provide mobile services and I'd say I am operating a vehicle 80-90% of the time.

Not for the general public, there isn't, but there are Federal laws related to truck drivers. I don't know myself what they are since I've never managed drivers but I know we have some experts on DOT laws here. Hold on and someone who knows the details will be by.
The above answer, whatever it is, assumes that no legally binding and enforceable contract or CBA says otherwise. If it does, then the terms of the contract or CBA apply.
