  • unpaid tips New York

    Hello everyone,

I was terminated from my last job in NYC. I was hired as a waitress and made
most of my salary through tips. About a month later, I went to the
restaurant to pick up my last amount of tip money. A manager told me they lost the tip
money and that there was nothing they could do. Meanwhile, all of the
servers have access to where the money is stored. I have tried
contacting the owner by email and phone several times and she has not
responded. I'd like to know what my rights are and what the next step
    is.

You can try filing a wage claim with the New York Dept. of Labor.
Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. Leo Buscaglia
