  • Delegating WHEN mandatory OT is worked in Virginia Virginia

I understand that in Virginia they can tell us how much mandatory OT is required; however, my question is can they tell us WHEN that OT has to be worked (i.e. 10 hours with 4 of those 10 hours having to be worked from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. every Saturday or Sunday).

Yes, they absolutely can. There is absolutely nothing in the law of any state that gives either exempt or non-exempt employees the right to choose what hours they want to work.
The above answer, whatever it is, assumes that no legally binding and enforceable contract or CBA says otherwise. If it does, then the terms of the contract or CBA apply.
