  • Connecticut Is employer obligated to pay mileage reimbursement?

When is an employer obligated to reimburse for mileage in CT? When I was hired by this company, the wanted me to get certified in my field, there attending classes and sitting for state exams. Furthermore, I do use my personal vehicle quite a bit to meet with clients and run errands.

Does the employer have to pay me mileage reimbursement to attend these classes if they are requiring that I do? Also when I use my personal vehicle for business purposes?

    Thank you

No, there are only two states where mileage reimbursement is required by law, and Connecticut is neither of them.
The above answer, whatever it is, assumes that no legally binding and enforceable contract or CBA says otherwise. If it does, then the terms of the contract or CBA apply.
