  • PA Unemployment Question Pennsylvania

The company I work for is talking about cutting our 40 hour work weeks to 32 hours. Will I be able to collect unemployment for the 8 hours I am losing a week?

Only the PA UI office can say for certain, but I'm not sure 8 hours is enough of a reduction for unemployment.
The above answer, whatever it is, assumes that no legally binding and enforceable contract or CBA says otherwise. If it does, then the terms of the contract or CBA apply.

You may be able to the PA labor and industry website explains it further here:

But I agree that you should give the UI office a call. I would give them a call tomorrow, fridays and mondays are the worst time to call! Unless you enjoy "hold" music, some people never get enough of Michael Bolton.

Michael Bolton, ugh. They have added some Saturday and Sunday call hours now, though.

        Hawk, how YOU doin'?
