  • Withholding last paycheck New York

Our employer is withholding our last paychecks because "we were terminated", as I was told over the phone by payroll. We worked for a cleaning company which was contracted to clean (deleted), which has over 100 cameras. We were suspected of payroll theft, even though the store manager told our employers that we weren't stealing because they watch us like hawks and we were there everyday except our days off. I need some help on how I can get my paycheck without waiting a long time. I got many bills to pay and cannot wait a long time.

What was your last day worked?

N.Y. employees who are discharged and those who quit must be paid on the next regular payday or by mail if requested by the employee.
Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. Leo Buscaglia
