  • No Paycheck Arizona

Hi, I quit my job in Arizona on the 21st of July. I am now living in California and as of today, the 25th of August I have not received my last paycheck. What can I do??

AZ is not my state but the ususal answer is to file a wage claim with the state DOL.

I have a vague idea that AZ is one of the states that allows for double (or possibly even triple) damages but I can't recall if you get them through the DOL or if you have to file a lawsuit to get them. Betty?
The above answer, whatever it is, assumes that no legally binding and enforceable contract or CBA says otherwise. If it does, then the terms of the contract or CBA apply.

Just for curiosity's sake, what does the employer say about the whereabouts of your final check?
I don't respond to Private Messages unless the moderator specifically refers you to me for that purpose. Thank you.

I called on the 20th of August and the Office Manager asked me the address where I wanted the check sent to. I gave her my employment address and she said she would send it DHL. After not receiving it for 2 days I called back and now she will not take my phone calls.
