    Sorry, no such general rule. The only employees who have restrictions anywhere near that strict are say airline pilots and minor children employees.

    Let's look at this from the other direction. California has industry specific regulations called Wage Orders. What rules affecting your industry can be found in your wage order. Rules that cannot be found do not exist.

    My question is regarding how much time an employee is required to have between shifts; for example, one shift ending at 7 pm, and another shift starting the next day at 4 am. Is this legal by California labor laws?

    I thought I heard about there needing to be 12 hours between shifts if the employee is only being paid their regular pay rate.
