  • Do I have to take a lunch break Kentucky

I am an exempt employee at a Large Automotive company in Georgetown KY. Am I required to take a 30 or 45 minute lunch break every day. I would like to work a straight 8 hours and leave as opposed to prolonging my misery ever day for 30 or 45 minutes.

Kentucky law requires that employers provide employees with a 30-minute lunch break. If the employer does not provide employees with a lunch break, it can be penalized. Even if a lunch break were not required, if the employer tells you to take one, you take one.
I am not able to respond to private messages. Thanks!

If the employer says you are, then you are.
The above answer, whatever it is, assumes that no legally binding and enforceable contract or CBA says otherwise. If it does, then the terms of the contract or CBA apply.
