  • Not being paid on pay dates Pennsylvania

For the past several months my employers has either not given our paychecks on regular pay dates or has given them and asked us to hold them. At times for up to one week.
Sometimes the checks are given and then bounce. Is there anything we can do?

    Find another employer quickly.

There is a possibiity that PA law cares about this (federal law does not), but the problem is that most state Pay Day laws are much more concerned about employees being paid at all then they are about the employees being paid on time. If you are not paid at all, you can file a wage claim. In states that I am more familar with, late payment penalties (if any) tend to go to the state and not the employees.
