  • Wage reduction Tennessee

Hello. Recently, an issue arose with wage reduction. If services were provided in October, billed the first week in November, and payable the second week in December: Can the commissioner send a memo on 12/6 stating that he has decided to cut wages 5.7% for all October billing?

Anyone can send a memo, but they can't retroactivly cut your pay.

TN Code 50-2-101(b) would apply if you are an employee.
