    Federal law does not require any breaks at all and New Hampshire law only requires the 30 minute meal break, (which can be waived if you have the opportunity to eat while working). So since evidently the only break you lost is one not required by law, it was legal and taking the break anyway could have resulted in your being disciplined or terminated.
    The above answer, whatever it is, assumes that no legally binding and enforceable contract or CBA says otherwise. If it does, then the terms of the contract or CBA apply.
