  • Discussion of medical absence North Carolina

I was recently out of the office for a few medical appointments (three within a three week period).

I later found out that during a division meeting, my boss questioned my whereabouts to the group and when it was brought up that I was at a doctors appointment, he started discussing my recent absences and recent appointment frequency to the group during the meeting. Saying he did not think this was good, and "I had been to a lot of appointments lately."

Was this a breach of any laws, or just a poor boss?

    Best to all!

Nothing illegal here though maybe rather unprofessional & unnecessary.
Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. Leo Buscaglia
