    If you do opt to pay them, you can pay them less than the IRS rate. If you opt to pay more, it counts as taxable wages.

    California is the only state that requires the employer reimburse employees for business-related expenses, including business mileage. Sorry.

    Is it required in New York State to pay mileage to employees. They are traveling from the main office to another office during their working hours. And if mileage is required do you have to pay them the IRS rate or can you pay them less?
