  • Just concern about part time associate Connecticut

Two questions about part time associate.
    1. Can employer require both weekend days to be worked when hiring?

    2. If you were hired with restriction as working only one weekend day. Can employer come back to you a year or two later, saying all part time associate must work both weekend days?

  • #2
Yes to both questions. With very few exceptions such as airline pilots and minor children, almost any employer can legally require almost any employee to work almost any hours that the employer wants. Absent a contract, the employer can generally change most or all conditions of employment on a go forward basis.
