    Need some clarification...

    My boss had informed me that according to LA Labor Laws, he is only required to give me 32 hours a week to be considered a full time employee. Is this correct? I have always been under the impression that 40 hours a week equals full time.

    Only two states have any laws addressing what is full time and what is part time, and Louisiana is neither of them.
    The above answer, whatever it is, assumes that no legally binding and enforceable contract or CBA says otherwise. If it does, then the terms of the contract or CBA apply.
