  • Exit interviews mandatory in CA? California

I am planning on giving my notice and returning all of my company computer equipment. Am I required to participate in an exit interview? I'd rather drop my stuff off, get it signed is as returned, and then leave. Can I do this? Do I have to give 2 wks notice?

    Thanks

Exit interviews are not required by law in any state. Your company might expect them, however, whether it is your preference or not.

You don't have to give any notice if you don't want to. Again, however, it is generally expected that you give some length of notice, just as a good career move. You don't want this employer telling some prospective employer that you walked with no notice; that doesn't look good to someone looking to hire you.
I don't respond to Private Messages unless the moderator specifically refers you to me for that purpose. Thank you.
