Is anyone familiar with a Garica or Darica law? This particular law apparently deals with the maximum number of hours a police officer can work in a 28 day period.

This is an FLSA exception under Section 7(K)(I don't know who those other people are ).

It's based on the length of the duty cycle. The maximum is a 28-day cycle and the number of worked hours before overtime in due is 171 in that 28-day period.

There are also complete exemptions from the overtime provisions for public safety personnel for small towns.
I don't respond to Private Messages unless the moderator specifically refers you to me for that purpose. Thank you.
