  • Manager Opening Paycheck? Oregon

I have been working for a company for the last year and have been getting direct deposit for my full employment history with them.

My manager has been opening and looking at my paycheck stub after our corporate office sends it, before I get a chance to open it. It is sealed and addressed to me.

Is this legal? Do I have any legal recourse?

    Thanks

Yes, it's legal. No, you don't have any legal recourse.

You are free to complain to HR or your boss's boss though and see if they have a problem with your boss's behavior.
